Racist Youth
America is not a racist nation. Here’s why. (Share this story with your kids.)
Ben Carson’s life exemplifies the promise of the American Dream of equal opportunity and achievement.
His faith helped him to succeed; and, his belief that God makes all things possible gave him strength and courage to overcome adversity.
Ben was born into poverty in Detroit.
His mother, Sonya, worked 2 to 3 jobs to support herself and her 2-sons. The boys learned at an early age to take care of themselves, and each other. They held hands when walking to school because they feared the crime and violence in their neighborhood.
Ben believed in himself; and, never thought he was a victim being persecuted by whites, because he was black. He knew he had the power to change his life. To become a doctor, even a surgeon.
