We Need an Education Bill of Rights

​Teachers say: “We are teaching the students, but they are not learning.”

Students say: “We are not learning, because teachers are not teaching.”

It’s hard to measure “performance”. Incompetent teachers are not dismissed due to the legal process of collective bargaining contracts and Tenure policies. (One of several reasons why Unions and Tenure are being eliminated.)

The problems of students not learning, may not be poor instruction, but the lack of interest in what is being taught.

Subject Matter, matters. Age and type of student also matters; and, we need to find and retain the best teachers for Curriculum that Inspires learning.

Not an easy task to accomplish for a school system buying pornography for classrooms and school libraries.
